| Sorbitol |
A soothing, sweet humectant it imparts a smooth, velvety feel to skin and absorbs water from the air to prevent dryness. It is used in many cosmetics from creams, fresheners and lotions to shampoos. Obtained from the leaves of Mountain Ash. |

A white fatty alcohol from palm oil. Used as an emollient, emulsion stabilizer, and to impart a velvety feel to the skin. |

(Vitamin A) Carotene, obtained from carrots or vegatables in converted by the body into Vitamin A. Also obtained from fish liver oils, milk, cream, butter, cheese, egg yolk, liver, and kidney. One of the few vitamins (substances necessary to life) shown to be absorbed through the skin. It is believed to have skin healing properties. Deficiency results in night blindness and injury to the nervous system. |
